Outstanding Readiness Support
In January 2006, the Company was honored to receive an award from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for Outstanding Readiness Support for a woman-owned small business based on its work supporting the war-fighter. The award was presented by Vice Admiral Lippert, Director of the Defense Logistics Agency, at an awards ceremony in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Ms. Karen Beagle, President of DARE Electronics, Inc., accepted the award on behalf of the Company and stated she was “truly honored to receive such an award. MIL-PRF-6106 Facility Approval
The company is also pleased to have received facility approval to manufacture relays in accordance with MIL-PRF-6106 (formerly MIL-R-6106). In order to receive QPL approval, the Company had to undergo an audit of its facilities and demonstrate it had a well-documented quality system. Although the Company has more than 30 years experience in the relay industry, the Company had not sought QPL approval to manufacture relays until 2005. Approval to manufacture relays in accordance with MIL-PRF-6106 relays will allow the Company to better meet the needs of its customers.

SPC Certification
In addition, based upon an audit of the Company’s statistical process control (SPC) program, facilities, and quality system, the Company was granted SPC Certification by Lockheed Martin in 1999. Moreover, Lockheed Martin subsequently recognized DARE as a Quality Select Supplier based on its 100% on-time quality performance and delegated product acceptance authority to DARE Electronics’. As a result, Lockheed Martin no longer needs to send a supplier quality representative to DARE to perform source inspection prior to shipment, and parts can go direct from DARE Electronics to stock at Lockheed Martin. Thus, saving the customer time & money.
