OPPORTUNITIES:

MANUFACTURING MANAGER:

Due to a pending retirement, DARE is currently looking for a Manufacturing Manager. The Manufacturing Manager at DARE Electronics reports directly to the Company President but works closely with all the departments.

The position is primarily responsible for ensuring all products are manufactured in accordance with Company drawings and work instructions, all products are delivered 100% on-time, and manufacturing employees are adequately trained and supervised.

The position is also responsible for estimating labor hours for quoting purposes and for jobs in process and working with all the departments to maintain DARE’s reputation for 100% quality and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities:

With primary responsibility for overseeing the on-time manufacturing of products, the position is involved in:

  • Scheduling and coordinating the workflow through Manufacturing

  • Working with Purchasing to ensure material is on hand as needed to support Manufacturing’s schedule

  • Recommending or proposing product and/or process quality or design improvements

  • Revising or developing procedures, including creating and implementing employee training programs

  • Designing manufacturing fixtures, tools, and/or aids

Working with Quality and Engineering, the position may be involved in activities such as:

  • Troubleshooting product failures

  • Reviewing travelers and submitting Engineering Change Requests

  • Performing root cause failure analysis

  • Analyzing Statistical Process Control reports

Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and administering employee performance reviews

  • Assisting on the manufacturing floor as required

  • Maintaining a schedule for building maintenance and performing maintenance items as needed

  • Working with Sales to expedite orders to meet customer needs

  • Adjusting the workflow to meet changing customer demands and available labor

Desired Qualifications / Characteristics:

Extensive background in soldering and assembling electronic circuit boards

Working knowledge of J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610

Electronics Circuit Knowledge

Basic metrology and machine shop skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multi-task

Great attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as member of a team

Willingness to learn

Self-Driven / Motivated to excel

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

Familiarity with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and ISO9001 or AS9100

ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLERS, ELECTRONIC TEST TECHNICIANS, ENGINEERS, QUALITY INSPECTORS:

Due to growth, DARE is accepting applications for Electronic Assemblers, Electronic Test Technicians, Engineers, and Quality Inspectors. As a member of DARE’s team, you will be directly responsible for helping ensure DARE maintains its reputation for 100% Quality and On-Time delivery by building, testing, and/or inspecting printed circuit boards and doing a wide variety of other work involved in manufacturing DARE’s highly specialized, custom products.
